To Repeal and Replace By-law No. 05-114, being a By-law to Regulate the Discharge of Firearms.
A municipality is authorized to prohibit or regulate the discharge of guns or other firearms, air-guns, spring-guns, cross-bows, long-bows or any other weapon for the purpose of safety.

Council of the City of Hamilton, pursuant to the Assessment Act, as amended by the Continued Protection for Property Taxpayers Act, 2000, S.O. 2000, c.25, has the right to adopt optional property classes for the year 2019.
Tax ratios determine the relative amount of taxation to be borne by each property class.
To levy on the whole rateable property according to the last returned assessment roll for the current year, the tax rates required for the City and Public and Separate school purposes.
The City chooses to establish the maximum assessment-related tax increases allowed on the Commercial, Industrial and Multi-Residential property tax classes as 10% for 2020 and accordingly to have properties in these classes limited to a maximum assessment-related tax increase of 10%.
To have a tax rebate program for eligible charities (or organizations that are similar to eligible charities) for the purpose of giving them relief from taxes or amounts paid on account of taxes on eligible property they occupy.
City of Hamilton By-law Nos. 14-190 and 12-116 are repealed.
To levy a special charge upon the rateable properties in the Business Improvement Areas that are in a prescribed business property class sufficient to raise the amount required for the purposes of the Boards of Management of the Business Improvement Areas.
