Exclusive breastfeeding means feeding your baby only breastmilk and nothing else. Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first 6 months of your baby’s life. When your baby is 6 months old, start to introduce solid foods while continuing to breastfeed for two years and beyond.
Public Health has resources to help you make an informed decision about how to feed your baby, learn how to breastfeed, and get support when you need it. You can also learn more about the Hamilton Breastfeeding Coalition.
We are here to support you!
