Why isn’t my park on the list?

Playground equipment is regularly inspected by City of Hamilton Parks staff. Play structures are replaced based on structure condition and available budget. 

Minor issues can often be repaired and do not necessarily require the replacement of an entire structure.

I don’t like any of the options in the survey, how do I suggest something else?

When will my park be scheduled for playground replacement?

Playground replacement is subject to budget approval by council and is determined by a number of factors including:

• Age of the structure in comparison to anticipated life span
• Results of staff inspections, including condition of the structure
• Opportunities to replacement a structure at the same time other construction is taking place at the location
• Available funding (Capital and other funding sources)
