Public invited to ‘Dog Pound’ at City Hall Friday night to watch semi-final Mastercard Memorial Cup game and cheer on Hamilton Bulldogs
Hamilton, ON – The City of Hamilton and the Hamilton Bulldogs invite Bulldogs fans to come out Friday night to the forecourt at City Hall – dubbed the ‘Dog Pound’ – to watch the semi-final Mastercard Memorial Cup game on a big screen and cheer on the Bulldogs as they take on the Regina Pats.
Join us as we continue to celebrate and cheer for our hometown Hamilton Bulldogs in their quest for the Memorial Cup! - Mayor Fred Eisenberger
Starting at 9 pm, the public will be able to come out and enjoy food trucks and music, with the game getting under way at 10 pm. Fans are reminded to bring their folding chairs or blankets.
Should the Bulldogs move on to the final on Sunday at 7 pm, fans will be able to watch that game as well on the big screen in the City Hall forecourt.
Plans are also in the works for a Welcome Home Hamilton Bulldogs celebration on Tuesday May 29 at 12 noon in the City Hall forecourt. There will be greetings from Mayor Eisenberger, players, coaches and team management, banner unveiling, and a presentation of tokens of appreciation from the City to the team for a fantastic season.
This week, the Bulldogs took another step toward the goal of a Memorial Cup Championship with a 3-2 win over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Tuesday night. The outcome of last night’s game between the Regina Pats and Swift Current Broncos (6-5) puts the Regina Pats up against the will and determination of the Bulldogs tomorrow night.
