Cycling Infrastructure
Cannon Street Cycle Track
Two-way bicycle lanes, with barrier separation, (also referred to as a cycle track) run on the south side of Cannon Street from Sherman Avenue to Hess Street. This project was initiated as a three-year pilot in 2014 and then was approved by Council as permanent cycling infrastructure in 2018.
Two-way Barrier-Separated Bicycle Lanes
The bi-directional cycle track occupies the south curb lane and includes black planter boxes, segments of concrete curbing, flexible bollards and rubber curbing that act as a buffer; separating auto traffic from cyclists. Access to residential driveways and businesses is maintained.
