Harbourfront Credit

Application is exclusively for Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) property owners seeking a Harbourfront Credit when stormwater is discharged directly or indirectly into Lake Ontario without utilizing municipal infrastructure.

Stormwater Credits expire five years from the date of approval unless the approval is revoked. Stormwater Credit recipients must ensure that they report any changes to the on-site stormwater measures that would reduce a property's eligible credit amount via this application form.

Premises not in compliance with any of the provisions of the Sewer Use By-law, No. 14-090, as amended, are not eligible for the Stormwater Incentive Program, along with consumers who are not in good financial standing with the City of Hamilton.

General Manager or an Officer may enter on land at any reasonable time and in accordance with the conditions set out in sections 435 and 437 of the Municipal Act, 2001, to carry out an inspection.

Application Guide

2. This application form must be fully completed before it will be considered for approval by the City. Incomplete applications for the Stormwater Incentive Program will not be accepted. A complete
   application consists of a fully completed and signed Application Form. The information submitted in this application form and accompanying documents is subject to verification by the City.
3. Additional information may be required to be submitted by an applicant during the review of application for the Stormwater Incentive Program including but not limited to engineering reports, drawings, or maintenance records. The City will contact the Applicant in writing, should additional information be required.
4. The original and complete application must be submitted online or by sending a signed completed printed form by mail to:

The City of Hamilton collects information under authority of Section 227 of the Municipal Act, 2001.
