We want to hear from you!
We invite local residents to share their feedback and insights regarding the impacts of erosion, flooding, and shoreline changes in the Hamilton Beach, Confederation Beach, and Breezeway Trail areas.
We want your input on how these impacts have affected individuals and their use of these locations.
In recent years, the shorelines of Hamilton Beach, Confederation Beach, and the adjacent Breezeway Trail in the City of Hamilton (Ward 5) have faced challenges related to erosion and flooding due to increased extreme high-water levels and more frequent intense storm events.
The City of Hamilton is initiating a Shoreline Management Master Plan to safeguard these City owned shoreline and trail assets. The Shoreline Management Master Plan aims to identify existing flooding and erosion hazards and develop a comprehensive strategy for protecting and managing these sites. As part of the master plan’s development, the City's Landscape Architectural Services invites local residents to share their feedback and insights regarding the impacts of erosion, flooding, and shoreline changes in the Hamilton Beach, Confederation Beach, and Breezeway Trail areas.
