Ren’s Pets will reward pet owners with $20 to spend at Ren’s Pets with each registered pet (up to 4 pets).
Effective Monday, March 18, new dog licences and renewals of existing ones can be processed in person at all Municipal Service Centres, as well as at the City of Hamilton Animal Services located at 247 Dartnall Road. Please note that purchasing new licenses or renewing existing ones online or over the phone is not an option at this time.
All late fees for license renewals are currently being waived and will continue to be waived until 30 days after the City’s online renewal portal is restored.

Buy or Renew a Dog Licence
All dogs must be licensed in Hamilton before they are 3 months old and the tag must be attached to our dog's collar.
You must all renew your dog licence every year.
Understand your responsibility as a dog owner
Licensing your dog is the law and ensures that they will be returned to you if they're ever lost. Always pick up after your pet. Visit our dog parks and off-leash parks if you want to let your dog off its leash.
