Public Health Services inspects:

• group homes by request
• lodging homes every year

We check these homes for sanitation, hygiene and health hazards.

How to Book an Inspection

Call 905-546-2489 to book an inspection for group homes or funeral homes. We must receive inspection fees before we do the inspection.

Inspection Fees

The cost for an inspection is as follows:

• Group homes $142.00 ; payable by cheque.
• Lodging homes inspection fee is included with the licence fee

All cheques need to be payable to the City of Hamilton. Include the name and address of the home you want inspected with the cheque. Payment options/locations:

In Person:
Payments can be received at any Municipal Service Centre using cash, debit, credit card (Visa / Mastercard) or cheque (make cheque payable to “City of Hamilton”)
