When you choose ground burial for your loved one’s final resting place, you’re giving your family a place to find comfort and renew cherished memories. Each of our cemeteries offers a variety of options that are available for casket and cremation, including upright monument, flat marker and religious and non-denominational sections.
Burial Lot Options
Hamilton Municipal Cemeteries has multiple cemetery locations serving our community, each with options and choices to meet your individual needs. Is a traditional burial the right choice for you or your loved one? There are several options to consider once you’ve made that decision:
- Location is often the first thing someone takes into consideration when thinking of a traditional burial. What Cemetery are you most interested in?
- It is important to consider if you or your loved one is going to be buried alone, alongside, or in the same plot as another family member.
- What type of memorial is preferred? Each section in a cemetery offers different options for monuments and markers.
Burial lots or graves can accommodate both casket burial and cremation interment.
We encourage you to contact us for guidance when choosing your cemetery property. We can provide a tour of the cemetery of your choice and inform you of available options.

Burial Vaults
A well-designed burial vault plays an important role at the cemetery as the final resting place for the casket. The purpose of the burial vault is to protect the casket and your loved one from the outside elements and the pressure from natural settling of the earth. Hamilton Municipal Cemeteries offers a variety of Cremation and Burial Vaults with multiple ways to personalize a vault with words, symbols, and images that speak of a singular spirit. Your loved one had a unique personality.
An Outer Burial Container (Concrete Liner or Sealed Vault) is required for all Double Depth (8ft) interments as outlined in our Cemetery By-Laws.
