Description of Proposal

The subject properties are represented by three separate applications. Theses applications propose to revise the schedules and appendices of the Rural and Urban Hamilton Official Plans to remove the subject lands from the rural area and add the lands to the urban boundary, to permit the development of the lands for residential uses, natural heritage features, stormwater management, and a collector road network, including a total of approximately 2,450 residential units.

Application Status: The City of Hamilton received the applications on August 17, 2020 and deemed complete on September 15, 2020. These applications were appealed by the applicant to the Ontario Land Tribunal for Lack of Decision on June 27, 2024. The Ontario Land Tribunal approved a settlement of the appeal on September 29, 2026 (OLT-24-000748) . The City of Hamilton has issued a statement regarding this settlement.
