Sewer and Water Permit Process and Design Requirements

The City of Hamilton's Sewer and Water Permit Process provides requirement guidance for sewer and water system design.

The purpose of the Sewer and Water Permit Process is to:

• assist applicants in preparing drawings for approval
• convey the City’s preferences and expectations for system design drawings

In order to obtain sewer and water permits for commercial, industrial, institutional and multi residential developments, the applicant must provide an appropriate drawing to the Planning and Economic Development Department's Development Engineering Approvals Section for review and approval.
