Phone service is available 7-days-a-week, including holidays, from 7:30 am to 8 pm.
The following levels of service will operate on upcoming holidays. This information is subject to change based on seasonal schedules. HSR’s Customer Service Centre at 36 Hunter St. East will be closed on holidays.

| Wednesday, January 1 | New Year's Day | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule ending at 10 pm. |
| Monday, February 17 | Family Day | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule ending at 10 pm. |
| Friday, April 18 | Good Friday | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule ending at 10 pm. |
| Monday, April 21 | Easter Monday | Buses will operate on a Weekday service schedule. |
| Monday, May 19 | Victoria Day | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule. |
| Tuesday, July 1 | Canada Day | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule. |
| Monday, September 1 | Labour Day | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule. |
| Tuesday, September 30 | National Day for Truth & Reconciliation | Buses will operate on a Weekday service schedule. |
| Monday, October 13, 2025 | Thanksgiving Day | Buses will operate on a Sunday service schedule ending at 10 pm. |
| Thursday, December 25 | Christmas Day | Buses will start slightly later than usual and last trips leaving downtown will be at approximately 9 pm. A detailed December 25 schedule will be posted. |
| Friday, December 26 | Boxing Day | Routes 1, 2, 16, 21, 25, 26, 41, and 43 will operate on a Saturday service schedule. All other routes that normally operate on Sundays will run on a Sunday schedule, except for Route 51 University. There will be no service on Route 51 on December 26. |
| Wednesday, December 31 | New Year's Eve | Buses will operate on a Weekday service schedule with free service after 6 pm. |
Sunday Schedule: Holidays specifying that buses will be running on a Sunday schedule refer to:
- TransCab service will align with HSR Sunday schedules.
- These bus routes do not provide service:
- 12 Wentworth
- 42 Mohawk East
- 52 Dundas Local
- Unless otherwise specified the last trips will be leaving downtown at approximately 12 am.
