Draft Plan of Subdivision or Condominium Approval

Land owners or developers who wish to develop a subdivision or a condominium in Hamilton must submit the draft plan for approval.

Official Plan Amendment (OPA)

The Official Plan guides the development of the city. If a proposal doesn't conform to these policies or land use designations, an OPA is required.

Local Street Naming & Renaming

To request a street name for future developments or to request a street be renamed in Hamilton.

Municipal Addressing

The City is responsible for municipal addressing of all properties in Hamilton.

Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA)

The Zoning By-law regulates the use of land. If an owner wants a property changed that deviates the permitted uses or regulations, a ZBA is required.

Site Plan Approval

A required process to review site design features for most developments including major building renovations or additions.

Part Lot Control

Regulates the sale or transfer of part of a lot or block within a registered plan of subdivision.
