Parkside Cemetery

Parkside Cemetery is 1.6 hectares in size and is located at 31 Parkside Avenue in Dundas, immediately west of the Dundas Driving Park. The site was formerly occupied by Parkside Secondary School until the City purchased the land in 2017 for cemetery-use due to the identified need in Dundas.

The site will be developed into a city-owned and operated cemetery and construction will be phased. The intent is to create a cemetery that feels park-like to blend with the neighbouring Dundas Driving Park and be respectful of the surrounding neighbourhood. Public access will be maintained and enhanced with accessible walkway connections.

The cemetery will consist of these amenities:

• Traditional burial plots
• Cremation plots
• Columbaria
• Gazebo and look-out
• Commemorative area
• Seating
• Tree planting
