City of Hamilton is seeking 200 participants for HSR Travel Log Study

HAMILTON, ON - The information collected during the study will give HSR a greater understanding of customers’ travel patterns, improve its methods for counting the number of trips taken daily, and help improve the customer experience when riding transit.

Participants will be selected based on certain criteria to ensure results are representative of HSR’s ridership. Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up for the HSR Customer Research Panel. If candidates are not selected this time, HSR may ask you to participate in future studies.

The Travel Log Study will run from November 15 to December 15, 2021. Participants will have the option to complete the survey using a paper or digital travel log and must track at least 14 days (ideally 28 days) of travel.

Participants who submit a completed Travel Log will be entered into a random draw for a chance to win:

• Grand prize $500 in PRESTO value loaded onto your card 
• Second prize $300 in PRESTO value loaded onto your card 
• Third prize $100 in PRESTO value loaded onto your card 

The draw will be held in January 2022 and is subject to the successful completion of a travel log and contest rules.

The HSR Customer Research Panel and the HSR Travel Log Study are part of an ongoing effort to (Re)envision the HSR and make transit Hamilton’s first choice.
