The HSR is excited to announce the installation of new real-time bus displays at two key bus stops in Hamilton as part of a proof-of-concept test. This trial will help determine the feasibility of launching a one-year pilot project aimed at improving accessibility and convenience for all transit users. The displays will be available at:
James St. S. and Jackson St. - Southbound
Main St. and John St.- Eastbound
Key features of the Real-Time Arrival Displays:

The e-ink displays will provide live bus arrival information, ensuring commuters stay informed about typical transit schedules. Updates will include real-time bus arrivals, detours, delays and if the stop is out of service. Improved accessibility
The displays are designed with accessibility in mind. Features include adjustable font sizes and high-contrast screens that remain visible in direct sunlight. They also integrate both auditory and visual alerts, providing clear notifications for individuals with hearing or vision impairments.
User Feedback and Testing
