Closures on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway beginning tonight for five nights
HAMILTON, ON – In order to accommodate urgent repairs to the overhead sign structures on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC), the City of Hamilton will be conducting rolling closures beginning Monday, July 22 for approximately five nights.
The construction will require a full closure for approximately three interchanges at a time. Work will begin in the westbound lanes at Upper Gage and will progress in the westbound direction as operations allow. Crews will complete work in the westbound lanes and then switch to the eastbound lanes until they have finished.
The repairs will take approximately five nights to complete. A detailed schedule for the locations of the rolling closures is not available due to the nature of the operations.
Motorists should follow the signed Emergency Detour Routes to bypass the rolling closures.
Operations will begin on Monday, July 22 at 9 pm and will continue in the overnight hours between 9 pm and 6 am until complete – approximately Friday, July 26, 2019.
The City thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation as we complete these important repairs.
