The City of Hamilton enters into sponsorship agreement with TD Canada Trust
HAMILTON, ON – Beginning November 1, 2018, the cost of maintaining the crosswalks on Main Street West and Summers Lane will be sponsored by TD Canada Trust. In an effort to continuously lessen the tax burden on residents, the City of Hamilton has reached a 5-year sponsorship agreement with TD Canada Trust, totaling $10,000. These funds will offset the cost of paint and maintenance for both the LGBTQ rainbow and the Trans flag crosswalks in front of City Hall.
“We are thrilled with the tremendous generosity from TD in sponsoring our Trans flag and diversity rainbow crosswalks in front of City Hall. The City of Hamilton is proud to celebrate our diversity and these crosswalks remain a colourful reminder for visitors and residents that Hamilton is for all.” – Mayor Fred Einsenberger
