Governors Road reconstruction update

HAMILTON, ON - As the Governors Rd construction project nears completion, Governors Rd will be closed between Creighton Rd and Huntingwood Ave beginning Monday, July 29 between the hours of 9 pm and 6 am. There will be no access to the Governors Rd/Creighton Rd intersection during this time.

During the overnight hours, all eastbound and westbound traffic on Governors Rd will be redirected to Tally Ho, Mayfair Ave, Lynndale Dr, Highland Park Dr and Bridlewood Dr. Southbound traffic on Creighton Rd will access the detour route via Hatt St, Ogilvie St and Governors Rd. Motorists looking to access the north side of Creighton Rd are advised to follow Governors Rd, Ogilvie St to Hatt St.

On Tuesday and Wednesday night, Governors Rd will close for paving between Huntingwood Ave to Davidson Blvd between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am. All eastbound and westbound traffic is advised to follow the detour route onto Huntingwood Ave or Davidson Blvd.

The paving is expected to be complete by Wednesday, July 31, weather permitting.
