New Tourism Hamilton brand wins Economic Developers Association of Canada Award
HAMILTON, ON – The City of Hamilton’s Tourism and Culture Division has won a national marketing award for its new brand from the Economic Development Association of Canada (EDAC).
The award was announced Sept. 11, 2018 at EDAC’s 50th annual conference in Fredericton, New Brunswick. EDAC is Canada’s national organization of economic developers offering professional development and comprehensive professional resources.

Tourism Hamilton launched its new brand in late 2017 to leverage the city’s exciting renewal and to capture what makes the city such a unique and appealing destination.
The new logo and visual presentation celebrates Hamilton’s distinct contrasts ranging from urban and rural to historic and trendy. The tagline “It’s In Our Character” refers to Hamilton as unpretentious, welcoming, unapologetically gritty, and full of unexpected beauty and bold contrasts.
