Hamilton once again selected as host city for Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour
HAMILTON, ON – Today, Sportsnet announced that the City of Hamilton has once again been selected as one of 25 communities across Canada to host the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour. Back for its 6th season, Canada’s ultimate NHL fan experience, presented by Scotiabank and Hyundai, is a season-long, touring hockey festival that visits a different Canadian town each weekend between October 2019 and April 2020. The Tour will arrive at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster on Saturday, January 18, 2020 and continue through Sunday, January 19. In 2016, Hamilton first hosted the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour as the final tour stop, welcoming nearly 20K attendees.
The free festival features a full weekend of live entertainment, NHL alumni, and hockey-themed activities, culminating with a live outdoor viewing party of an NHL broadcast from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio. MacLean and Slone will feature grassroots hockey stories and tales of local players that helped build Hamilton’s hockey community. The full event schedule and event details will be available closer to the event weekend.
