Council ratifies Collective Agreement with Amalgamated Transit Union
HAMILTON, ON – City Council has ratified the four-year Collective Agreement for ATU Local 107, representing HSR bus operators, mechanics and other transit workers. The unanimous Council vote follows ratification by ATU members on Thursday, November 23.
The four-year Collective Agreement, which covers January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026, includes increased remuneration of ATU Local 107 members including a wage increase of 3.75 per cent in the first year, and a three per cent increase in the second, third and fourth years of the contract. The Agreement helps address the increased cost of living for employees, is in line with the City’s other Collective Agreements and ensures the continued delivery of high caliber transit services to our community.
