Hamilton Children’s Museum is temporarily closed due to a substantial expansion project.

While the museum is closed, Hamilton Children’s Museum staff will be delivering programs and events at other Hamilton Civic Museum sites. View the museum event calendar for the events being held at various locations throughout the city.

Hamilton Children’s Museum Expansion

We are very excited to announce that the Hamilton Children’s Museum is growing to serve the community better! The demand for better accessibility and more programming space has led to the expansion and enhancement of the current building.

Project features:

• A new 1500 square foot addition that is colourful, fun and whimsical in design;
• More space for extra programming; new seating spaces, play rooms and quiet areas;
• A new larger family washroom;
• A barrier free front entrance that is spacious with lots of light that incorporates stroller parking and a family seating area;
• A new fenced in exterior play area;
• Two outdoor decks with seating areas;
• New trees and gardens.

Opening Summer 2025
