The 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Stroll
HAMILTON, ON – October 12, 2016 – The Fessenden Home and School Association, in partnership with Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum, invite residents and families to join in the Second Annual Great Pumpkin Stroll on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 5 to 8 pm.
Celebrate the Halloween season by taking in a family walk on the grounds of Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum, located at 64 Sulphur Springs Road in Ancaster. This event features a kid’s fun zone from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Parking is available at nearby lots, including the adjacent Ryerson United Church.
Have a magical time and see the beauty of jack-o-lanterns glowing in the dark. Come in costume if you like! This fun, family-friendly event will feature jack-o-lanterns carved by students, families and businesses in and around Ancaster. Local businesses and families are invited to donate a carved pumpkin.
Carved pumpkins may be dropped off at:
- Fessenden school on October 25 from 8:25 am to 2:45 pm
- Fieldcote on October 26 from 1 to 5 pm
Awards will be given to the most creative, funniest and scariest pumpkins.
Donations will be accepted to offset the costs of the event on behalf of the Fessenden Home and School Association. Money raised from this event will be used to purchase various art supplies that are used by Fessenden’s Kindergarten to Grade 6 students throughout the year.
500 free flashlights will be distributed to visitors, and glow sticks/necklaces will also be on sale. Hot chocolate or cider will be available. The event is weather permitting.
