Call for Artists - Music-themed displays for Anne Foster Windows
HAMILTON, ON – Local artists are invited to propose displays that celebrate Hamilton’s music scene for installation in the Anne Foster Windows. Located along James Street North on the 1st floor of the Lister Building, the storefront windows were the entrance to the Anne Foster Music shop for more than 50 years (1942 to 1995).
Through this application process, six artists or artist teams will be selected to create and install displays during the pilot program period of March 2018 through June 2019. Each display will be installed for approximately three months.
Proposals will be selected by City of Hamilton staff to meet the Anne Foster Windows’ programming goals: a series of displays that celebrate Hamilton’s music scene through a range of subject matter, design (materials and use of space), and perspectives.
