Call for Submissions “Fresh from the Studio” - Recent Work from Hamilton Artists
Hamilton, ON – November 11, 2016 - The Fieldcote Fine Arts Committee is pleased to announce it will be holding a juried exhibition of recent work from Hamilton area artists.

Date: January 21 to March 18, 2017
Location: Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum, 64 Sulphur Springs Road, Ancaster
The opening reception will be on Thursday, January 26 from 6 to 8 pm
Artists who reside in the Hamilton area are invited to submit up to three entries of art works completed within the last two years. All mediums are welcome although very large works cannot be accommodated. No entry fee will be charged. Fieldcote Museum will not be involved in the sale of the artwork but can provide the artist’s contact information to anyone interested in purchasing.
There will be four prizes of $200 each. Three jurors’ prizes will be awarded at the opening reception and one “People’s Choice” prize (voted on by attendees) will be awarded at the end of the exhibit.
Work will be juried by the Fieldcote Fine Arts Committee: Arthur Greenblatt, Bryan Bennett, E. Robert Ross, Gayle Skalin, Janet Parker and Les Drysdale.

Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2016 include:
- artist name
- title of work
- medium
- size
- date completed
- images of artwork in jpg format. Images should be between 1MB and 3MB in file size and the resolution should be at least 900 pixels on the shortest side.
Work chosen must be delivered to Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum at 64 Sulphur Springs Road, Ancaster on January 12 or 13, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm or on January 12 from 7 to 9 pm.
Notice of acceptance will be sent by December 17, 2016. Final selection will be made from the original artwork. An artist’s statement and short biography will be required from all artists selected to participate in the show.
