“I am grateful to be part of the team charged with preserving and sharing this very unique Canadian home with people from all around the world. And especially during this Canada 150 year, when we also look back over the past fifty years to when a generation before us took the bold step to restore Dundurn Castle for future generations, our own being the first of many yet to come. It is a rare honour to protect and steward the heritage that is Dundurn for future generations.” - Ken Heaman, Senior Curator, Dundurn National Historic Site
“This year, Hamilton joins cities across the country to celebrate Canada’s 150th year as a nation. This important anniversary offers us all a chance to reflect on our city’s contributions to the growth of our nation – from our proud industrial roots to the exciting revitalization transforming our city. It’s also a chance to imagine the kind of city we want to build moving forward.” - Fred Eisenberger, Mayor, City of Hamilton
