City of Hamilton launches free Wi-Fi in Gage Park
HAMILTON, ON - June 19, 2017 - The City of Hamilton is pleased to announce the launch of free public facing Wi-Fi in Gage Park effective June 21, 2017.
This free Wi-Fi network is open to all park visitors between 6 am and 11 pm daily in the following areas:
- George R. Robinson Bandshell and surrounding area
- Horticulture building and surrounding area
- Water fountain and surrounding area
- Pump track and surrounding area
- Children’s museum indoors and surrounding area
- Splash pad and surrounding area
Gage Park visitors can access the internet using a Wi-Fi-enabled device such as a laptop computer, tablet PC, or smart phone. Most Wi-Fi enabled devices will be compatible with the City of Hamilton’s infrastructure, however, the City cannot guarantee compatibility of an individual’s equipment. The City’s Wi-Fi signal will display as “Hamilton_Guest”.

When accessing the Wi-Fi at any City location, including Gage Park, users will be presented with, and will be required to accept, the “Terms of Use of the Wireless Network and Disclaimer”.
Quick Facts
- In preparation for the June 21st launch, the City of Hamilton has successfully tested Wi-Fi in Gage Park.
- Currently, there is free Wi-Fi access in over 40 City of Hamilton facilities.
- Public Wi-Fi is also available in all 22 branches of the Hamilton Public Library.
