City of Hamilton offering screening of live broadcast on August 20 at Gage Park
CBC and The Tragically Hip Present ‘The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration’
HAMILTON, ON - June 21, 2016 - The City of Hamilton today announced that it will be offering a live screening of CBC and The Tragically Hip Present ‘The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration’ at Gage Park.
Date: Saturday, August 20
Time: Broadcast begins at 8:30 pm and ends at 11:30 pm
Location: Gage Park Bandshell
Event details
- Event is weather permitting (no rain date)
- This is a family friendly, alcohol and smoke free event
- Bring a lawn chair, blanket and enjoy the broadcast under the stars
- There is free parking available at Gage Park – entrance is off of Lawrence Road (south side of the park) but is very limited
- No HSR shuttles are available for this event. Both the 1 King and 5 Delaware routes service Gage Park. Refer to www.hamilton.ca/hsr for route map and schedule
- For the safety and enjoyment of all in attendance please leave animals at home
- Note that this concert immediately follows the A Midsummer’s Dream Colour Festival at Gage Park. That event includes ‘colour throws’ that will take place near the bandshell. There may be traces of the non-toxic coloured powder solution (gulal) on the ground
