Claremont Escarpment Access Closed for the Weekend

HAMILTON, ON – August 23, 2016 – To safely complete rock scaling and/or preventative maintenance work, the City of Hamilton’s Public Works Department will close the Claremont Escarpment Access in both directions this weekend.

The access will be closed to through traffic between Upper James Street (at Inverness) and Wellington Street South (at Main Street East).

The work will begin at 6 am on Saturday, August 27 and is expected to wrap up by 8 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

The City thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation as we work to ensure continued public safety along the escarpment roadways.
