Cycling in Winter? It’s S’now problem! Join us Friday to celebrate Winter Bike Day
HAMILTON, ON - A little snow on the ground doesn’t have to stop you from enjoying cycling this winter. As part of the annual international celebration in support of winter cycling, the City of Hamilton’s Sustainable Mobility team is inviting cyclists to attend Winter Bike Day on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Gore Park from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
In partnership with Cycle Hamilton, a non-profit cycling advocacy group, Winter Bike Day celebrates winter cycling and the people committed to it. Cycling is an excellent and sustainable mode of transportation that can be enjoyed at all times of the year.
Don’t want to ride alone?
Group rides will be led to the event at Gore Park from the following locations:
- Westdale - Meet at Sterling/Forsyth – 7:45 a.m.
- Bayfront Park - Meet at SoBi Hub at Hutch’s – 7:30 a.m.
- Gage Park - Meet at SoBi Hub at Gage/Maplewood – 7:30 a.m.
- Dundas - Meet at Grafton Square – 7:30 a.m.
The Everyone Rides Initiative will also be hosting a lunch time ride, also on February 14, 2020 leaving from 126 Catharine St. N at 12:00 p.m.
