East Leg of the Sherman Access to remain closed through morning rush

HAMILTON, ON – May 28, 2017 - In the interest of public safety, the East Leg of the Sherman Access was closed early this morning as a result of falling rocks and debris.

The roadway is currently closed in both directions from the bottom of the Sherman Cut to the Kenilworth Access. It will remain closed until further notice.

City of Hamilton crews are monitoring the area and contractors will be assessing the access as soon as possible to determine what type of repairs are required.

The Sherman Cut and West Leg of the Sherman Access (with the existing one lane closure) remain open.

An update with more information will follow.
