A Forest of Christmas Trees at Fieldcote
HAMILTON, ON - October 13, 2016 - Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum proudly presents “A Forest of Christmas Trees”, a magical indoor display of Christmas trees, from Tuesday, November 22, 2016 until Saturday, December 24, 2016.
Public invited to decorate a tree and win a prize
Community groups, citizens and businesses are invited to decorate and submit a Christmas tree by Friday, November 11, 2016, for the chance to win a prize. Space is very limited and potential participants must first submit an entry form to express interest.
Fieldcote will then select successful entrants and supply six-foot trees and stands. Participants are asked to provide decorations, lights (minis only for fire safety) and an attractive sign for their group.
Visitors attending this special exhibit will be the judges and will vote for their favourite tree. The winners will be announced on Friday, December 16, 2014 at “The Big Sing,” from 7 to 9 pm, at the Old Town Hall in Ancaster.
To inquire about participating in the decorating contest, contact Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum directly at [email protected] or call 905-648-8144.
Fieldcote will kick off this exhibit with a ‘Magical Christmas Evening’ at Fieldcote on Wednesday, November 23 from 6 to 8 pm. Admission to this event is free.
Fieldcote is located at 64 Sulphur Springs Road in Ancaster and is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday from 1 to 5 pm. Regular exhibition admission rates apply. For more information about Fieldcote and other museum events visit www.hamilton.ca/fieldcote.
