Full closure on the Wentworth Stairs beginning Monday

HAMILTON, ON  - September 22, 2017 -  The City of Hamilton will close the entire length of the Wentworth Stairs for construction beginning Monday, September 25, 2017.

The Wentworth Stairs will be closed for approximately four weeks while crews rehabilitate the footings at the base of the stairs and complete proactive work to alleviate erosion along the footpath beside the stairs.

There will be no pedestrian access on the upper or lower sections of the Wentworth Stairs throughout the construction period.

The City thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as we work to complete these important repairs.
