Gage Park Pump Track re-opening on May 15

HAMILTON, ON - May 4, 2017 - The Pump Track at Gage Park will re-open for the 2017 spring and summer seasons on Monday, May 15.

The Pump Track is a specialized bike park made of berms and rollers that cyclists ride through using their bodies for momentum instead of pedaling. The first of its kind in Hamilton, the Pump Track is located in the south-east corner of Gage Park at Gage Avenue and Lawrence Road and is open to cyclists of all ages.

Prior to re-opening on Monday, May 15, the Pump Track will undergo some maintenance improvements in preparation for its third operating season. Crews will install approximately 45 to 50 tonnes of fresh thick clay on the surface, making it safer for riders and easier for volunteers to help maintain.
