Get cycling with winter bike to work day on February 8, 2019
HAMILTON, ON – Hamilton cyclists join others, from all over the world, for the City of Hamilton’s Winter Bike to Work Day. On the morning of Friday, February 8, Hamiltonians will gather at Gore Park to celebrate the international annual event to support winter cycling.
Hosted by the City of Hamilton’s Sustainable Mobility team in partnership with Cycle Hamilton, a non-profit cycling advocacy group, Winter Bike to Work Day aims to celebrate those who cycle in the winter months. The initiative is meant to encourage people to try out cycling in the winter and show that cycling can be a viable mode of transportation, even in the colder months.
The free event allows attendees to learn about what different organizations in Hamilton are doing to promote cycling, and get their bike tuned up for free, all over a warm coffee and a treat.
