Hamilton Fire Department Open House on Monday, October 9, 2017
HAMILTON, ON - October 5, 2017- As part of Fire Prevention Week activities, Fire Chief David Cunliffe and all members of the Hamilton Fire Department are pleased to invite the public to an open house at our Multi-Agency Training Academy on Monday October 9, 2017 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
The Multi-Agency Training Academy is located at 1227 Stone Church Road East and is the training facility for the Hamilton Fire Department, Hamilton Police Service and the Hamilton Paramedic Service.
Hamilton firefighters will be on site with a number of different apparatus and equipment, ready to answer your questions. Apparatus on site will include:
- Aerial ladder
- Engine
- Tanker
- Rescue Unit
- Brush Truck
- Command Unit
- Hazardous Material Support Unit
- Box 43 Rehab Unit
In addition, firefighters will demonstrate a high angle rope rescue, an auto extrication scenario and extinguish a car fire. Important fire safety information as well as emergency preparedness information will be available for you to take home.
Gates at the training academy will be open at 1 pm. Parking is available adjacent to the training academy at 5 Star Fitness, 1215 Stone Church Road East.
