Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology presents S.T.E.A.M. Saturdays Kids Workshop
Hamilton, ON – The Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology at 900 Woodward Ave. is excited to present a S.T.E.A.M. Saturdays Kids’ Workshop on Feb. 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tickets are available online for $25 per child and pre-registration is required. This is a supervised drop-off kids’ workshop although parents/guardians are welcome to stay if they choose.
Have you ever wondered about the science behind steam engines? Participants will explore the inner workings of our 1859 Gartshore pumping engines, learn about the transformation that water undergoes inside of a steam engine, build and take home their own steamboat and experience an in-depth tour of the museum, complete with all the steamy details.

- S.T.E.A.M. Saturdays is an innovative and immersive workshop series. Each workshop focusses on a different subject in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.).
- The Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology is a National Historic Site of Canada and a Civil and Power Engineering Landmark.
- Housed in a 160-year-old Waterworks, the Museum preserves two 70-ton water pumping steam engines, perhaps the oldest surviving Canadian-built engines.
- The museum is open year-round - Tues. to Sun. 12 pm to 4 pm. Regular admissions rates are: Adult $8.50; Senior/Student $7.50; Child $6; Family $25.
