Kimberly/East Mountain Escarpment stairs re-open ahead of schedule

Hamilton, ON – July 29, 2016 – The City of Hamilton has re-opened the Kimberly/East Mountain Escarpment stairs after crews made repairs to the base foundations and stabilized movement of the stairs.

The upper section of the stairs that connect the Mountain Brow to the Rail Trail were closed to pedestrians and cyclists on July 5, 2016. The work was completed ahead of schedule and the stairs have re-opened in time for the Civic Holiday this weekend.

The City of Hamilton’s Public Works Department thanks the community for their patience during these important repairs.
