Mayor Andrea Horwath Mourns Passing of Former Mayor Bob Wade

Earlier today we were informed of the passing of former Mayor Bob Wade at the age of 89.

Bob served as Mayor of Hamilton from 2000-2003 and was the first Mayor post-amalgamation. Bob retired in 2003 after more than 25 years in government, including 16 years as Mayor of the Town of Ancaster.

Mayor Horwath sends her sincerest condolences to Bob’s family during this time.

A book of condolences is being organized at City Hall - 71 Main Street West, 2nd floor, outside the Mayor's Office, for the community to sign beginning on the morning of Monday May 8, 2023.
