New Community Centre in Winona brings more Recreation Programming for residents

HAMILTON, ON – Tuesday, January 5, 2016 – On Saturday, January 9 at 11:30 am, the media and general public are invited to join Councillor Brenda Johnson as she officially opens a new community centre for the residents of Winona.

The Winona Community Centre will feature both drop in and registered recreation programs geared for all age groups. The Centre will also include an Ontario Early Years Centre, providing a range of parenting, health and educational resources and supports for children from prenatal to six years.

City staff will be on hand to give visitors the opportunity to try some of the programs being offered such as Zumba®, basketball, circuit training and dance. Following the ceremony, refreshments will be provided.
