Portion of Garner Road West closed between Shaver Road and Hamilton Drive

Hamilton, ON – The City of Hamilton advises residents that a portion of Garner Road will be closed from July 2, 2019 until August 30, 2019, pending any unforeseen delays.

As a part of the Liv Communities’ development, located at 503 - 515 Garner Road West, a new sanitary sewer will be installed on Garner Road West, from Hamilton Drive westerly. The road closure is necessary due to the required depth and location of the proposed sewer. The company carrying out this work is DeFaveri Construction Inc. During the closure, all local residents will retain access to their properties and will be provided sufficient notification when impacts to access may occur.  

Detour Information

During this road closure, the City has approved the use of Fiddlers Green Road, Wilson Street West and Shaver Road to detour traffic safely around the work zone.

Closure Notification

The road closure will be posted from Fiddlers Green Road to Shaver Road. The work zone will be located on Garner Road West from Hamilton Drive, to approximately 500 metres west of Hamilton Drive. 

S. Llewellyn & Associates Limited is the developer’s consulting engineer for this project and will be monitoring the work by DeFaveri Construction Inc.
