Statement by Mayor Fred Eisenberger on the passing of former Councillor Margaret McCarthy

Hamilton, ON - It is with great sadness that I have learned about the passing of Councillor Margaret McCarthy, who represented her community on the Town of Flamborough Council and then at Hamilton City Council from 1994 until 2010.

As is customary with the passing of a former Councillor, I have requested flags to be flown at half-mast at City Hall and at the Flamborough Municipal Service Centre today. I join our entire Council in conveying our deepest condolences to her husband Jim, their son James, and her numerous friends and colleagues over the years.
