Work to begin on Parkdale Ave and Mead Ave on April 25

Construction notice for sidewalk re-construction, storm sewer construction, sewer repairs and water main replacement Parkdale Avenue North – Barton Street East to Burlington Street – Mead Avenue from Parkdale to Brighton Road

HAMILTON, ON – April 21, 2016 – On April 25, 2016 Hamilton’s Public Works Department, with contracted New Alliance Ltd., will begin work on Parkdale Ave North from Barton St. E. to Burlington St. and on Mead Ave. from Parkdale Ave. to Brighton Road to complete works to replace the existing water main and water services to the property line, construction of storm sewers, removal and replacement of concrete curbs and sidewalk and the reconstruction of a new concrete roadway. 

As construction progresses, some inconveniences such as noise, dust, temporary disruption of water service and restricted traffic movement may be experienced. Every effort will be made to do the work in a timely manner and to keep any inconvenience to a minimum. We ask for your patience during this period. The project is expected to be substantially completed by December 2016, weather permitting.
