The City has completed a Municipal Class EA for improvements to Southcote Road from Garner Road to Golf Links Road.
The Ancaster Transportation Master Plan (ATMP) was completed in 2011 which reviewed transportation issues in Ancaster. Southcote Road was identified as a Schedule C (Phases 3 & 4) project in the ATMP which identified the need for road widening improvements to Southcote Road – three lanes with two-way left turn lane.
This stretch of road is presently a two-lane road with urban and rural cross sections. Sidewalks exist sporadically on each side of the road.
