Park Closures - List of Park Construction & Redevelopment Projects
Upper Redhill Park
Starting April 24, 2023
Portion of the park space is closed to accommodate grading and drainage improvements. The majority of the park including the multi use court, sun shelter and play area will be will remain open during this closure.
Pier 4 Park - Tugboat Play Structure
October 2, 2023 to Fall 2025
The tugboat playground is closed to undertake structural assessments to inform the design for improvements to the tugboat, new playground and new spray pad planned for 2025.
Mountain Drive Park - Play Structure
Summer 2024 to Spring 2025
As part of the Mountain Drive Park renewal, soil tests have revealed that some of the park’s soils exceed the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks soil standards for parkland. Out of an abundance of caution, the area of the park where impacted soils are currently known has been fenced off to prevent public access. No public access to the play structure until the redevelopment is completed.
Millgrove Community Park
Starting Week of October 14, 2024 to week of November 11, 2024
Park will be closed temporarily to facilitate the improvement of stormwater drainage at the park and replacement of various park assets. Impacts to the overall use of the park can be expected.
Kopperfield Park
Starting October 17, 2024 to November 18, 2024
A portion of Kopperfield Park will be closed to facilitate the installation of two new park catch basins and regrading of the northeast corner of the park to improve drainage. The northeast corner of the park pathway will be inaccessible during the construction. Other parts of the park including the playground, shade shelter and basketball courts will remain open and accessible. During this work, some areas of the park may be fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
Corman Park
October 31 to November 18, 2024
The Corman Park pathway will be closed to facilitate demolition, excavation, and repaving of the pathway. All other parts of the park including the soccer field, playground, bocce courts and basketball court will remain open for use. During this work, some areas of the park may be fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
Green Acres Park
November 4 to 18, 2024
The Green Acres Park pathway connecting Glenview Drive to Randall Avenue will be closed to facilitate the reconstruction of a failed slope adjacent to the pathway. All other parts of the park including the baseball diamonds, soccer fields and pathways will remain unaffected. During this work, some areas of the park may be fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
Martino Memorial Park
November 11 to 15 (end of day), 2024
The irrigation box adjacent to the southernmost dugout and surrounding area between the baseball diamond fence and road will be closed for public use to facilitate the installation of a new water meter chamber and backflow prevention device. All other park assets will remain accessible.
Inch Park Drinking Fountain
November 12 to 15 (end of day), 2024
The drinking fountain and surrounding area in the South end of Inch Park will be closed for public use to facilitate the installation of a new water meter chamber and backflow prevention device. All other park assets will remain accessible.
