Providing an overview of the Group’s Application to amend the Rural Hamilton Official Plan and Urban Hamilton Official Plan to create a Special Policy Area to identify the Elfrida lands as a Future Urban Growth District as well as updates on the project.

ATS Group Inc. attended a TEAMS Meeting on September 20/ 2024 @ 9:30 AM set up by Delfina Duarte and Indra Maharjan for the purposes of introducing our Work order management software AllTrack System. The meeting was set up for 30 minutes and it was decided that a second meeting should be arranged to provide more software details so that the City of Hamilton can understand more thoroughly. The second meeting was not set up at this time.

I am the President of the Hamilton Commmunity Land Trust.
Talking with public office holders about our organization, coordinating funding possibilities, and meeting to understand the City's needs

I like to build affordable housing at 14 Huron St. and give it to the city or social services department to take over. I will manage it property. This lease can go for 20 years or more.

Our organization advocates for the sustainablity of Mohawk Sports Park through a lens of Health & Wellness, Equity, and Conversation.
Our goal is to support the creation of a safer, more inclusive and accessible public space that will benefit the diverse needs of our community.

Advancing technology to enhance road safety and traffic flow.

As a retired police officer with SME in homelessness, addiction and mental health, I am now operating a consulting company that advises on this subject matter. In order to assist with the crisis that is within the inner core of Hamilton, I would like to offer the ability to be consulted within this scope of nature of the marginalized triangle (homelessness, addiction and mental health). Additionally with 27 years of law enforcement and public safety expertise, specifically trained within the scope of this issue.

Promote Habitat for Humanity Hamilton and its build activities. Advocate for new build and repair opportunities in partnership with the City where available.

HATS is a grassroots non-profit organization in Hamilton, Ontario involving entirely dedicated volunteers and funded through private donations and grants, committed to stabilizing our village members and the neighbourhood.

We provide safe, temporary, supportive housing with heating and air conditioning for our village members' comfort. Additionally, HATS is developing partnerships with health-care providers and social service agencies to provide on-site support to village residents including recreational programming to help them prepare for the transition to permanent housing opportunities.

We strive to meet the neighbourhood's needs by providing an aesthetically appealing well-maintained village of tiny homes, community gardens, and a secure environment with24/7 security.

We plan to collaborate with the City to secure public land upon which to establish a HATS village as noted above.

Advancement of Affordable and Supportive Housing

WE HBA has been involved in the review of the City of Hamilton Development Charges Background Study and By-Law. We supported maintaining downtown exemptions/discounts and a number of other discounts and provide the City with detailed financial analysis. WE HBA will also provide advice and recommendations on related municipal imposed charges on new housing including Parkland Dedication By-Laws and Parkland Studies as well as Community Benefits Charges.

WE HBA is supportive of investments into affordable housing and opportunities for the private sector to partner with all levels of government including the City of Hamilton. WE HBA intends to advocate for partnerships including utilization of surplus & under utilized lands and/or financial/planning incentives. WE HBA intends to participate in any consultations related to inclusionary zoning on the LRT corridor. Any such initiative must not result in cross subsidization, must be economically viable and be structured in a partnership model.
