To a Tea!: A Historic Cooking Workshop
No other meal conjures up images of the Victorian era more than Afternoon Tea. Prepare a nineteenth-century recipe with Dundurn’s cook demonstrator in Sir Allan MacNab’s kitchen followed by a guided tour of Dundurn Castle that will highlight Victorian tea traditions, and the role of the servants in preparing and serving tea to the MacNab family and guests. After your tour, enjoy your baking and tea by gaslight in the historic kitchen. Ages 12 years and older.

Ontario Archaeological Society Monthly Lectures

Spring Jazz Series
Enjoy a great evening of music presented by Music at Fieldcote and the Hamilton All Star Jazz at the Old Firehall Arts Centre located at 334 Wilson Street East in Ancaster. Performances by Terry Promane on April 7 and an All-Star Latin Night featuring John Johnson on April 21.

One Day Medieval Illumination Watercolour Class
Enjoy a one-day opportunity to create your own work of art using Medieval Illumination. This is a watercolour class with a Romanesque and Flemish High Realism theme. You will adorn and illuminate an image using supplied 0.24K gold leaf. Supply list available upon registration. Suitable for all ages.

Makeology Spring Craft Fair
This one-day event set in three unique historic buildings makes for a great afternoon of shopping for hand-made products while supporting homegrown businesses. Browse booths filled with unique, fashionable jewellery, toys, bags, soaps and knitted items – all from regional makers. Your visit is not complete until you take a walk through the 1859 steam powered Pump-House – a truly memorable historical experience.
