City of Hamilton to hold Pride and Trans flag raising ceremony June 16 in honour of Pride Month
HAMILTON, ON - June 7, 2017 – The City of Hamilton’s LGBTQ Advisory Committee is hosting a Pride and Trans Flag Raising Ceremony on Friday, June 16 from 7 to 8 pm in the forecourt of Hamilton City Hall. The rainbow Pride and Trans Pride flags will fly at City Hall until the end of June.
An ASL interpreter will be on hand at the ceremony. Light refreshments will also be provided.

- On March 8, 2017, the City of Hamilton passed the Protocol for Gender Identity and Gender Expression; Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Persons. The City developed a protocol that includes ensuring all individuals have the right to access gender segregated facilities in accordance with their self-identified gender identity.
